Interview

What inspires your art practice and keeps you motivated?

I’ve always been creative; however, I found it hard to have regular practice until I read The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. It helped me understand that creativity is an energy that we all have access to when we open ourselves up to it. I still have my off days and weeks, but when I come back to the practices I learned in this book, it really helps to keep me plugged into creative flow.

How does your mission as an artist influence the work you create?

My mission is to create beauty that brings light and joy into the world. In a world that thrives on drama and turmoil, I want my work to bring more beauty and spaciousness that allows us to rejoice in the abundance that's available to us in every single moment when we look for it.

I believe that art has the power to transform spaces, not just aesthetically, but emotionally as well. With each artwork, I’m inspired to capture moments of beauty that can uplift, inspire, and create a sense of warmth and belonging.

Can you share a key part of your creative process that helps you stay focused?

I like to try to work in quarterly launches. This way, I know that I have a three-month period to research and develop a new collection. The launch structure gives me time to introduce the concept, share behind-the-scenes creation, and then finally reveal it when it's ready to go live.

What mindset tip do you rely on to overcome challenges in your art career?

That failure is part of the process to deeper knowing. I also love the idea that imperfections are really our perfect signature—the marks we leave behind to tell the world that we were here.

How do you hope your art impacts the world or your community?

I hope that my art uplifts the spaces it fills and creates an energy of connection with self and with others.
